Dr. Jonathan A. Carroll, a proud Philadelphia native, grew up inspired by his parents’ legacy as educators. After twenty years in the classroom and beyond, he now steps into the role of Head of School. For more than a decade, he served as Middle School Dean at Harvard-Westlake, guiding students through some of their most formative years. Dr. Carroll earned his Bachelor’s in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s in Education from Drexel University, and a Doctorate in Urban Education from UCLA.
I love creating spaces where kids lead their learning through hands-on projects, play, and real-world connections. I meet them where they are, nurture their strengths, and equip them to face challenges and speak up for themselves. With respect, autonomy, and loving guidance, every child’s curiosity and creativity can shine.
